Comic Rundown: Dark Lantern
Posted by on Oct 13th, 2009

Red Robin guest stars in Adventure Comics #3 as Superboy reunites with his best friend – but I’m guess their reunion won’t go as well as Superboy’s previous date with Wonder Girl last issue. Wonder Girl already admitted she found romantic solace in Robin after Superboy’s death in Infinite Crisis, and that’s just the tip of what Red Robin is hiding from the returned Superboy.

Batgirl #3 also has Stephanie Brown – once Robin’s girlfriend the Spoiler and also once Robin herself – taking on the new mantle of Batgirl. The only problem is she hasn’t exactly told the new Batman or the new Robin, and with Oracle just finding out about this third (technically fourth) successor, Stephanie’s work just got a little more difficult.

Blackest Night: Batman #3 concludes the final chapter of the Black Lantern’s assault on Gotham City. Batman, Robin, Red Robin, the Gordons and Deadman are all under attack by the combined forces of their deceased rogue’s gallery and their own parents. And of course, there’s the even bigger question – is Bruce Wayne a Black Lantern, or is he even really dead to begin with?

The Black Lantern action continues in Green Lantern Corps #41, as the Green Lanterns discover the Black Lanterns are targeting the Central Power Battery, and with the Black Lanterns including the likes of Jade as well as every Sinestro War casualty and more, they better think of something quick!

That’s all for this week, but with several Blackest Night tie-in’s and the return of Magneto, I’d say that’s enough!

…I think I just blew my own mind on a realization.

Think about it: Deadpool is now owned, lock, stock and barrel, by the Walt Disney Corporation.

    Disney. Deadpool.

    Disney. Deadpool.

The possibilities are frightening, but potentially “made of epic win,” as all the cool kids say these days.
